TrustFire TR-006 Multifunctional Battery Charger

What it charges

Compatible with 16340, 18650, 25550, 26650 and 26700 rechargeable lithium cells. The adjustable slots take cells from roughly 30mm to 71mm long, including flat-top cells. Batteries must be at least 2.7V to begin charging.

Please note: this is a lithium-cell charger. It does not charge AA, AAA or NiMH batteries.

Li-ion and LiFePO4 in one unit

A switch on the side selects between 4.2V charging for standard 3.6/3.7V lithium-ion cells and 3.0V charging for 3.2V LiFePO4 cells. Set it to match the cells you are charging.

Two independent bays

Each bay charges on its own and has its own indicator light — red while charging, green otherwise. Charge one cell or two, and the current stays the same either way.

Charges on mains or 12V

Universal 110V–240V, 50–60Hz input works at home or abroad, and there is a 12V DC input so you can run it from a vehicle.

Charging behaviour

Charge current steps down as the cell fills — roughly 850–900mA from 2.7–3.4V, 650–700mA from 3.5–3.6V, and 500–550mA from 3.9–4.1V. A typical charge takes about 4 to 5 hours depending on capacity.

Worth knowing: the green light indicates the charger has reached its first termination point, and it will keep topping the cell off at a low current after that. If you want cells at full charge, give them a little longer than the light suggests.

I have this, do not remember where I got it. It does what it says. Takes a few hours to charge a very low 18650.

EDIT . ALL BETTER, MY MISTAKE.

It worked just fine until now. 3 months later doesnt fully charge batteries. Green light goes on indicating they are charged, but when put in my vape stick, only charged 1/3. I have 2 sets of batteries, it happens to all my batteries.

EDIT. Ok I need to edit review.

The little switch on the side of the charger somehow was changed from 4.2V to 3.0V. That was my problem. It now charges as it should. I'm a happy camper again. And feeling a little foolish.

Great Value and Works Perfectly

This charger works great! The LEDs turn green when it’s fully charged. And all my batteries that I take out, show up as fully charged in the devices. It does make a slight ringing sound when the batteries have completely charged… It’s a little annoying but reminds me to take the batteries off.

Utter Garbage

I cannot fathom how this product has received such high ratings. It worked once for me, then stopped working. No lights, no charging, nothing. Of course, the second time I used it was outside of the return period. Complete waste of money, not to mention the frustration now of not being able to charge my batteries until I order a new charger ... which will NOT be from TrustFire.

How many lumens do I actually need?

More than most people expect to hear: usually fewer than you think. 200 to 500 lumens covers everyday tasks, 500 to 1,500 covers work and duty use, and above that you are buying reach rather than usable working light. Runtime drops sharply at maximum output on every light ever made.

What is the difference between lumens and beam distance?

Lumens measure total light output. Candela measures beam intensity, and that is what determines how far a light throws. A tightly focused 1,000-lumen thrower will out-distance a 3,000-lumen floodlight, which is why reflector design matters as much as the headline number.

Which battery does it take, and do you sell spares?

Most of our lights use a built-in or removable lithium-ion cell such as a 14500, 16340, 18650, 21700 or 26650. The size is listed in the product specifications. We stock protected cells in all of those sizes plus a multi-chemistry charger, so you can keep a charged spare ready.
