Headlamps
Hands-free lighting for every situation, from ultralight running headlamps to high-output 2,000-lumen models built for hunting, search-and-rescue and night work. USB-C rechargeable options dominate the lineup, with red night-vision modes, detachable light heads, sensor-activated switching and magnetic charging across the range. Comfortable fit and long runtime matter more than headline lumens on a headlamp, and this collection is selected on that basis.
How to choose a headlamp
-
Beam shape. Flood for close work and running; spot for scanning ground and distance. Multi-source models like the TrustFire H7R give you both plus red.
-
Weight and balance. Front-mounted battery is lighter overall; rear battery packs balance better above 1,000 lumens.
-
Red mode. Preserves dark adaptation and does not spook game or wake tent-mates.
-
Sensor switching. Touchless models such as the H7GR let you turn the light on with gloved or dirty hands.
Headlamp questions
How many lumens does a headlamp need?
200 to 400 lumens is right for camp, running and general tasks. 1,000 lumens and up is for hunting, search work and anything where you need to identify objects at distance.
Why do headlamps have a red light?
Red light does not trigger the same pupil response as white light, so your night vision stays intact. It is also far less visible to animals and to other people nearby.
Can I use a headlamp as a bike light?
Yes, and several models here double as helmet lights. For road riding, a dedicated anti-glare bike headlight is safer for oncoming traffic.
Are they waterproof?
The models in this collection carry IP water-resistance ratings suitable for rain and snow. None are intended for submersion.
