How to choose a keychain light

• Output vs runtime. Expect 40 to 320 lumens. Higher output on a tiny cell means shorter runtime, so match it to how you will use the light.
• Charging. USB-C recharging removes the coin-cell problem entirely; a keychain light that cannot be recharged tends to be dead when you need it.
• Water resistance. Keys get rained on. Look for an IP rating if the light lives outside a pocket.

On the low or medium setting most models in this collection run several hours. On turbo, expect minutes rather than hours, because the cell is physically tiny.

Will a keychain light scratch my phone or keys?

Anodised aluminium bodies are harder than most keyring hardware. Keeping the light on a separate split ring from your car fob reduces rattle and wear.

Are keychain flashlights allowed in carry-on luggage?

Flashlights with built-in lithium cells are generally permitted in carry-on baggage but not checked baggage. Always confirm with your airline before you fly.
