TrustFire MINI3S Rechargeable Keychain Flashlight

The Small Light You'll Actually Carry

The MINI3S is built around a simple insight: the best flashlight is the one you have on you. Make it small enough to live on your keys, hang from a bag, or sit in a watch pocket without complaint, and you'll have a flashlight when you need one.

Useful Output for Real Tasks

  • High mode for finding things at distance
  • Low mode for close-up tasks without blinding yourself
  • Multiple output levels balance brightness vs. runtime

USB-C Rechargeable

Built-in USB-C charging from any standard cable. Built-in rechargeable battery means no shopping for replacement cells.

Pocket / Keychain Carry

Compact body with attachment options for keys, bags, lanyards, or pocket clips. Stays out of the way until you tap the button.

Built for Daily Abuse

Aluminum body, water-resistant construction, designed to handle being banged against keys, dropped, and otherwise abused on a daily basis.

Who the MINI3S Is For

The MINI3S is for everyone who's ever fumbled with their phone flashlight when a real flashlight would have been better — parents finding pacifiers in the dark, contractors checking under benches, dog walkers, late-shift workers, and anyone who values having the right tool. Also a fantastic gift.

Backed by TrustFire's manufacturer warranty and our simple 30-day return policy.

Customers praised this compact rechargeable keychain light for being "wicked small" yet "crazy bright" with impressive battery life. However, many noted the twist-on mechanism is problematic—the cap loosens easily and can get lost. Some reported square beam patterns, reliability issues, and difficulty holding charges. Despite concerns, most found it "perfect for EDC."

Super bright and small

Great product like the 2 function brightness of flashlight, dim and bright. Good EDC and fast to charge, don't know how long it will last, have not used it long enough. Comes a bit warm when on for long periods of time on high setting. But i love the size perfect for my keychain, and is brighter than expected. great buy!

Tiny and bright

First, this light is awesomely tiny. You could use it as a headlamp and not feel it. 220 lm mode is crazy bright, and the battery lasts a long time. I had an issue when I first got it, it would not switch from 5lm to 220lm. I was going to return it, but decided to completely take it apart and put it back together, and it started working. If it weren’t for that it’d be 5 stars, but I will buy more.

Must have

This flashlight is awesome!! Don’t know why some gave it low reviews. Trust fire is the best flashlight brand out there. It is soooo bright.

Definitely lights up the Night

A good, bright and convenient light source when needed in no or poorly lit areas.

Nice but...

I bought an O-Light mini rechargeable which has a broader beam which I prefer, and also when you recharge this Trustfire you have to take the head off along with the gasket which makes it prone to lose them. To recharge the O-Light, you only have to expose the charging port by loosening the head a few turns but there's no need to remove it completely...I feel this is a much better way, so knocked off 1-star. It's still a nice light, way bright for its size and rechargeable to save on buying batteries, so if you need a keychain light buy it!

As Good as it is Not!

Just a simple honest review to help! I try to be objective and not subjective! Many of the reviews, I sincerely believe are folks who benefit in doing so. For example, I have seen on a different manufacturer's website offer a free light with a purchase or to reimburse full value of purchased light for the first 200 people! Humm... So when I see much praise, I question. As well as, the negative reviews that express that this little light is next to trash and thus further reffer a different company to be utterly superior, c'mon!

Summary:
At first, look and feel, turning on the light, I was so sure I will return it before the night time. But, to see what it can do, I charged to full and forced myself to not base descion on initial overview. And, I'm glad I did. As the battery not fully charged, was not bright. Which takes me to wonder if it will really, truly be bright for as long as its listed. In short, at first, I loved the small size. Most reviews are from people with little fingers; hence, the light looks much bigger, it is not! It is tiny! And, that is quite impressive. Second, it is bright and has a good throw for it's size--impressive, truely impressive output and throw with a decent amount of spread. Third, what made me, and still may make me return it, for good, is how one turns it on and off, by twisting it. That part, not good! Not sure if this is due to quality control of manufacturing for all lights or just the one I have. The scoop is, it is so loose, not extremely, but way too much so that, the way it is, putting it on a keychain is not possible. It's loose to the point that, hanging on a key chain will cause it to eventually turn on to low, quite possibly even to high, or even a chance to lose one section of the light. No review, nor comment, unless I missed it, ever brought that up, why? A possible solution is to put teflon thread tape :) Should not need to do so, but let's face it, what is the cost of the light!?! Appart from that, it's not awesome, it's not junk either. What it is a little, imperfect, bright little light!

Pros:
- Brightness: Quite Good
- Amount of Throw: Not Bad
- Size, Size, Size: it's small!

Cons:
- Insufficient Ammount of Thread.
- Threading way to Loose.
- Run Time not even close to Advertised!

Conclusion:
Had issues with the little light, and sadly returned it :( Honestly, I really wanted to keep it as I did a good job for the size and price. I'm not sure if the battery was old or just defective. I will try one of the competitors, and may comeback to it. The Brightness and Throw of the light will be hard to beat, I'm quite sure, but the looseness and lack of thread still bothers me and may the haunting downfall that keeps from returning.

WOW. AWESOME!

WOW..... Just WOW. I cannot believe how bright this little light is. It's smaller than I thought. It's about the size of half my pinky finger, perfect keychain light or for me I keep it in that little 5th pocket of my jeans. I tested it out while having a campfire and it was more than bright enough to walk to the wood pile and to see what my dog was up to all the way across my back yard (50-60yards away) and lasted all night switching between low mode and high mode. Awesome back up or even as a primary edc light

Very good construction endurable...

I really like the size of it .I do dislike the fact that it needs more lumens but overall I really like the flashlight!!!

Doesn't hold a charge, dies after 6 months, warrenty a hoax

I’m amending this review since I got in touch with the company thru Amazon... once I got in touch, company was super responsive and gave the option of refund or new product. I chose the later. Will let you know how it works - if my first flashlight was a lemon, or they all are. Apparently their phone number was changed, but the old one was on the box. And the email issue seems like a glitch.

If you enjoy charging your keychain flashlight every day, get this. It's never gone on when I've needed it because you leave it hanging on your keys for a day and the charge is gone. No point. Now, 6 months after getting it, it will no longer charge at all. It was used as a flashlight maybe 5 times and charged 4-5 times. It won't charge. It won't go on.
On the box it says 3 year warranty with an email and phone number. The phone number is not in service and emails get bounced back.

So far this is the best mini flashlight I've ever had

This little flashlight is really awesome is very dependable it charges very fast and for the price you can't beat the amount of quality you get.

Loose construction

Didn’t take more than a day or two, to unscrew itself and get lost out of my pocket. Now I have 1/2 of a tiny flashlight.

Neat keychain light

This is a nice little keychain light. I'm not really a fan of USB lights since they need to be monitored for dead batteries especially in lights you don't use often but for the price point I risked it.

Smallest yet bright

For a wicked small flash light it's pretty bright good for opening door lock when the outside light is not on.

Sooooo small

I like it - on a keychain you hardly know it's there... I'm a little shocked at just how small it is... the low power 'pre-light' may be handy when small amounts of light are needed for longer.

Battery makes it no good

With battery that comes with it I almost returned it. Wasn't anywhere near 220lm more like 20lm.
But I'd already ordered 2 new 10180 Fenix batteries from battery junction so figured I'd wait n see. Pics attached of original battery on high then fenix battery on high, HUGE difference!

Very Disappointed

I finally gave up on this, bought a different flashlight and took this off my keychain. Nearly worthless. May give the Olight version a chance.

Not very bright when it does work. And it does not hold a charge--so it rarely is of any use at all. It just takes up space on my keychain. Great idea. Terrible execution.

Maybe I got a dud? I don't know, but I am not happy.

Doesn’t Work

Worked normally for a few days, but not anymore. Green light comes on when plugged in as if it’s fully charged, but when the cap is tightened down, nothing. Functionally, having the twist on activation for an item meant to be carried on keys or loosely in a pocket is just not a good idea. Either it’s too tight, draining the battery unintentionally, or it’s too loose, risking losing the cap.

Great mini flashlight

I have this on my keychain and its super convenient without taking much space. My only complaint is sometimes its finicky on actually turning on. Its a screw the bulb til it makes contact on/off switch and screw past the first setting for extra brightness. It just doesn't always work and sometimes I have to screw backwards and try again.

Small but tiny

You may have a problem, as I did, in finding the USB charging port. Remove the end that houses the bulb. Now look on the side of the case below the threaded area and voila! Also the light is small enough that you can wedge it into your nostril, thereby having light wherever you are looking.

Had to return one

Easy to use and quite bright. Battery life isn’t very long due to its minuscule size. Weight is comparable to a pencil. Functionality is an issue because I had to return one after it stopped working. The new one still works!

Awesome

Amazing light in such a small package. The battery life is impressive. It was 4 weeks before I charged it and it was still going strong

The beam is focus in a square

which is not very useful in some situation

Nice tiny light

Work fairly well although some example show less than stellar construction. USB charging a big plus--no need to. fiddle with 10180 batteries. Punches above it's weight.

Love it. Lasts too!

I'm ordering a second one after 2 years. The first is still working great!

Bad hotspot no flood

I use this product for fishing and automotive use the one thing that turned me off from this light was the hotspot there wasn’t any flood pattern but the battery life was fair

Very Pleased BUT

This is perfect for me. I needed a light for my key ring as I have an unlit walkway from my car to my home. Its very easy to use and very bright. My only concern is that the cap, which acts as the on/off switch easily screws completely off of the light and could get lost. I also thought that is could be less expensive.

Tiny, bright, rechargeable

This thing is TINY! It was a stocking stuffer for my husband and now he wants to get like 10 more. Very happy with it.

Disappointed but it is functional.

Pros: Quite bright for it’s size. Throw is pretty good. Very small. Rechargeable battery.

Cons: Two major cons and one minor one. 1) As you can see in the picture it gives a very pronounced square spot. This gives the cheaply “COB” feel is distracting by how annoying it is. 2) The screw-to-turn-on feature is not ideal at all. It doesn’t take many turns (CCW) before the cap feels very loose. So you have to make sure there is some tightness to keep it from spinning off on its own. However, it can only take about 1-2 turns before it turns on. It needs to have a finer thread to allow more revolutions. 3) You have to remove the light cap to recharge. This isn’t ideal for something you would charge in your car.

Cool little light

Very bright, small and rechargeable is a Hugh plus. I’ll probably order more.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a genuine product with a valid warranty?

Yes. We are an authorized dealer for Klarus and TrustFire, so every light we ship is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty, handled by us. Flashlights bought through unauthorized or grey-market sellers are usually not covered.

How fast do you ship, and what does it cost?

Orders placed on business days leave our Port Charlotte, Florida warehouse within 24 hours. Shipping is free on US orders over $49. We hold our own stock, so if the site shows it in stock, it is on a shelf here.

What is your return policy?

Returns are accepted within 30 days through a simple return process. See our refund policy for full details, or email us first if you are unsure whether a light is the right one and we will help you decide before you buy.

How many lumens do I actually need?

More than most people expect to hear: usually fewer than you think. 200 to 500 lumens covers everyday tasks, 500 to 1,500 covers work and duty use, and above that you are buying reach rather than usable working light. Runtime drops sharply at maximum output on every light ever made.

What is the difference between lumens and beam distance?

Lumens measure total light output. Candela measures beam intensity, and that is what determines how far a light throws. A tightly focused 1,000-lumen thrower will out-distance a 3,000-lumen floodlight, which is why reflector design matters as much as the headline number.

Which battery does it take, and do you sell spares?

Most of our lights use a built-in or removable lithium-ion cell such as a 14500, 16340, 18650, 21700 or 26650. The size is listed in the product specifications. We stock protected cells in all of those sizes plus a multi-chemistry charger, so you can keep a charged spare ready.

Can you help me choose between two models?

Yes, and we would rather do that than have you return something. Email Customersupport@brightlightled.shop or call 941-273-3209, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm EST, with the two models and how you plan to use the light.
