TrustFire D2R Rechargeable Wide-Beam Bike Light

Wide Coverage, Light Weight

The D2R is built for riders who need usable road coverage without bulky weight on the bars. The 155-degree wide-beam pattern lights the full road in front of you — center stripe, lane lines, and shoulder — instead of a narrow tunnel of light.

Built for Real Riding

  • Wide horizontal beam pattern for road coverage
  • Multiple output levels balancing brightness and runtime
  • USB-C rechargeable with battery indicator
  • Tool-free quick-mount handlebar system
  • Weather-resistant for real conditions

Lightweight Construction

Designed to disappear on the bars when you don't need it and deliver real performance when you do. Mounts cleanly with standard handlebar diameters and removes in seconds for security or storage.

USB-C Charging

USB-C charging from any standard cable. Battery indicator tells you when to charge so you're never caught short on a ride.

Who the D2R Is For

The D2R is for commuters, gravel riders, road cyclists, and anyone who wants wide-beam coverage without the weight penalty of larger lights. Pair with a rear light for full visibility setup.

Backed by TrustFire's manufacturer warranty and our simple 30-day return policy.

Compact, powerful bike light praised for brightness and battery life. Customers said it's "small but powerful" with "solid build quality." Charges quickly via USB-C and lasts 3+ hours. Main concern: mount compatibility with GoPro-style adapters requires modification. One safety issue reported with loose bolt at high speed.

I am a TrustFire Fan! A great tiny but MIGHTY bike light!

This light comes in a tiny box because it is a tiny light. Don't let that fool you! It is BRIGHT! It uses that GoPro style mounting bracket so you will need to be thoughtful of that in your mounting options.

This is made like a tank and with the light it puts out, the weight is light, and the size is so small, it seems impossible that it would also last quite awhile on the highest setting.

It charges quickly and is easy to charge.... the side charging port is very convenient. It can be charged on in place, which, if you have charging batteries on your bike, you can charge as you go!

missing specs and features

I ordered the base D2R model. The product photos show that it with a GoPro-style mount, which I assumed was included in the package. I am disappointed that the mount is not included. If you don't already own a GoPro mount, you need to order one of the more expensive options to get the mount.

The instruction manual says this light has 3 modes: high, low, and strobe. High-power mode is pretty bright, but lasts less than 3 hours. Low-power mode is significantly dimmer, but lasts 6.5 hours. They do not say how long the battery lasts in strobe mode. The strobe is bright and fast; maybe too obnoxious to actually use. I wish that the bright mode lasted longer or that there was a slower strobe mode that had the brightness of the high mode, but the battery life of the low mode.

I like the compact size and sturdy metal case of the light. Even the GoPro connector on the light is metal.

I like that the light uses a modern USB-C charging cable, though they don't give me any specs on how fast it charges.

Solid build quality and simple to use. Great bike moped mini bike handlebar attachable hi/hi light

The build quality is amaz for the price. A similar bike mount that's stout enough to trail ride is easily double the cost.
Charge port is firm and tight when corn is inserted. The machining of the actual light is great.. all screws seals and o/off button was functional. There is a positive locking feature on the mount to keep for investment safe. As pictured 2 alleges come with the kit along with extra 0 ring, an extra screw with thread locker on it, and another mounting plate for your auxiliary device.
If you have a moped or bike and need a light this is a strong contender over a headlamp because of its stability, small footprint, rechargeable as well as waterproof capability sets it apart with so many positives.

Doesn't actually fit a go pro mount. Looks similar but not compatible.

Sadly doesn't fit my go pro mount.

Bright and powerful

So while this light is very bright and very powerful and charges quickly with USBC, be careful how you order! It's easy to order the wrong model that doesn't come with a mount! And that sucks.... Battery lasts longer then I thought it would especially when you use a lower setting.

Not compatible to a go pro mount.

I was hoping it could fit unfortunately you are obliged to buy tje mount thst came along with it. I have a diffrent mount on my bike and all i need is a light woth a go pro mount. This was suppose to be perfect. Now all i need to do is file out the mount on the to make it fit on a go pro mount :(

Small but powerful

Small light but powerful, the battery seems to hold up well. I had to sand off coating to fit it into go pro style mount. I had another mount that I don't use and it fit that one perfectly. The one that fit perfect was plastic and I had to sand to fit an AL mount.

Excellent quality and slim design

I love how the light attaches to the handlebars, completely out of the way and no bulk like most bike lights. Light is bright and simple and seems to be well built.

As far as I can tell, the only bad reviews are from people who thought it would fit a Gopro mount, which I don't think is fair.

It is really cute.

I have a handlebar bag in the front of my road bike, so l was a looking for a smaller headlight to fit the limited room. This one is really cute and bright for my (just tried at home not go outdoor to ride at night yet). I mounted to my existing Garmin bike computer mount, and so far so good. The price is only half of Garmin headlight.

Bright but Mount is a challenge

Light is very bright and has flash mode. Great for daytime riding except the mount won’t fit a GoPro adapter. They didn’t say it would but it looks like it should so that’s on me. Apparently the mount works if you buy theirs. It is not a standard size. It is metal so you have to try and re machine the slots to fit to use other mounts. Tricky job to hold it in a vise and file away. Great if using their mount. Otherwise can’t use it.

Bright and good battery life.

It's heavier than I thought but it works well and everything is well made.

Became loose while ridding 50mph

I was riding 50mph on steep road downhill, a small black bolt became loose, the lamp hit the tire, almost hit my face, and then hit a car!!! Really scary and dangerous, the light looks and works great, but the pedestal has really poor assembly. Since I bought 2, I applied locktite to the bolt and now use it only on my urban bike.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a genuine product with a valid warranty?

Yes. We are an authorized dealer for Klarus and TrustFire, so every light we ship is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty, handled by us. Flashlights bought through unauthorized or grey-market sellers are usually not covered.

How fast do you ship, and what does it cost?

Orders placed on business days leave our Port Charlotte, Florida warehouse within 24 hours. Shipping is free on US orders over $49. We hold our own stock, so if the site shows it in stock, it is on a shelf here.

What is your return policy?

Returns are accepted within 30 days through a simple return process. See our refund policy for full details, or email us first if you are unsure whether a light is the right one and we will help you decide before you buy.

How many lumens do I actually need?

More than most people expect to hear: usually fewer than you think. 200 to 500 lumens covers everyday tasks, 500 to 1,500 covers work and duty use, and above that you are buying reach rather than usable working light. Runtime drops sharply at maximum output on every light ever made.

What is the difference between lumens and beam distance?

Lumens measure total light output. Candela measures beam intensity, and that is what determines how far a light throws. A tightly focused 1,000-lumen thrower will out-distance a 3,000-lumen floodlight, which is why reflector design matters as much as the headline number.

Which battery does it take, and do you sell spares?

Most of our lights use a built-in or removable lithium-ion cell such as a 14500, 16340, 18650, 21700 or 26650. The size is listed in the product specifications. We stock protected cells in all of those sizes plus a multi-chemistry charger, so you can keep a charged spare ready.

Can you help me choose between two models?

Yes, and we would rather do that than have you return something. Email Customersupport@brightlightled.shop or call 941-273-3209, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm EST, with the two models and how you plan to use the light.
