Affordable aluminum handlebar mount praised as "sturdy and lightweight" with good value. Customers appreciate the quality machining and combo mounting capability. However, some report fit issues requiring sanding for proper Garmin attachment, screws loosening without loctite, and concerns about durability under heavy use.

Looks nice, but does not work well

Installed, tightened screws snuggly. Screws fell out during ride and sent my edge 25 crashing to the pavement. Also, their Garmin twist mount isn't a good fit at all. It's super tight to the point where you feel like you are going to crack your computer mount when twisting on.

Looks good

I decided on this mount out of the many options mainly because of the features, price, and material. It offers a combo mount at the fraction of the cost compared to a k-edge and appears to be cnc'd out of aluminum. The alternative mount was either too expensive or plastic (too fragile to hold an expensive bike computer). The packaging looks great, it definitely exceeded my expectations. Nearly the entire mount is constructed with aluminum except for the garmin locking mount itself. The mount is also apparently compatible with bryton devices by swaping out the pre-installed garmin one.
One of the major drawbacks I had was with the action camera style mount, which was one of the first features I looked for. The part was made of aluminum and was too stiff to create a clamp friction fit with my action camera. While tightening the bolt to clamp down on the camera, the included allen key stripped out. There are some concerns that the clamping force will fatigue the aluminum and eventually break or the bolt will completely strip out from the amount of torque required.
Two modifications I did immediately was blue locktite on all the fasteners and flip the entire mount over to make the mount more aero. The garmin locking mount and action camera mount can be swapped around and flipped over. The only modification required to do this is to file the action camera mount so that it fits in the recessed hole left by the locking mount. The action camera mount OD is maybe 1mm larger so with some effort filing, it fits perfectly on either side. Another added benefit to flipping the mount is that the laser etched logo is hidden on the bottom side.

What you should expect for the price.

Like many 'knockoff' or alternative cost items on Amazon, it isn't the same quality as the higher end products it's trying to be. Mine came with loctite on the screws which seems to be an upgrade over what other reviews. The main complaints that I have are that all the screws seem to be just a tad short. The plastic mounts look and feel as though they are made from the wrong types of plastic. The Garmin mount doesn't have a great fit and required that I sanded it down for a cleaner fit. There is, at least what I believe to be, a large amount of flex from the arm given that it's aluminum. Looking at the way it's machined under the arm where it meets the bar mount and other reviews of it snapping, I would be very hesitant to put anything but a small head unit and lightweight light underneath. I would most certainly not be comfortable putting a larger, heavier head unit or phone and large light onto it. My two star rating is thus far based on the quality of plastic material, poor head unit fit, flex, and expectation that it might fail. Should it survive a year of riding, the best I would give it would be 3.5 stars.

Great function, well made, excellent support.

I have 2 of the Trustfire HE05 bike computer mounts. I am using them to mount a Bryton Rider 530 unit. One on a mountain bike, one on a road bike.
The quality of the mount pieces is very nice. The machining, the chamfering along the edges, the engraved text. All as high quality as I've seen on any bike parts. The mount comes with a thin sticky tape on the gripping surfaces that contact the bars. This works nice but pulled off after the first mounting. After that I just used a little strip of electrical tape in a similar fashion.
There are separate plastic insert pieces for either a Garmin or Bryton units. Not sure about other fits. This plastic piece mounts easily using 2 small flat head cap screws. Everything fits perfectly and the mount holds the Bryton unit solidly.
A couple months ago I crashed on my mountain bike and was dismayed to see I'd broke my Bryton off the mount. Upon closer inspection I was relieved to see that the Trustfire plastic mount had broke apart allowing the Bryton head unit to come off without damage.
After talking to the Manufacturer about getting a replacement plastic piece they kindly sent me another one free of charge.
By the way I paid for these with my own money and in summary I couldn't be happier with this bike mount. Well designed, beautifully made, fully functional, with great customer support. Nothing not to like.

Good features and good looking

I mainly get it so that I can mount a Gopro as well. I like the design lot, especially the cut out and the chromed side edge. The Garmin is lock on very snugly. The mount is very secure to the handlebar as well. It came with an extra mount as well. It also come with an adapter for smaller diameter handlebar.

Very nice item, high quality

This is maybe not the most heavy duty item (based on other reviews) but it is a beautifully machined and high quality. Clamped on my 31.8 carbon bar nicely. For regular riding this item will be just fine, doing downhill runs in competion with a one pound GoPro maybe not. I also have a K-edge bracket and while not as heavy duty this bracket compares in overall quality. Garmin mount works well.

Good value and it works great

A very good attachment for my Garmin and a Cat Eye light. I have carbon bars and it fit fine. The Garmin fit a little tight, but I sanded it down slightly, and it fits perfectly.

Slightly out of spec for the gopro mount

You have to really tighten it hard since the spacing is off just a little bit for gopro. I have destroyed one already due to this but the price is good so I got another one. Also you will need to put a small piece of tape under the garmin to keep it from bouncing around.

Great Mount, buy some loctite.

Great mount, but like others have mentioned, get your self some loctite. I've had mine in use on a trainer in my basement and even with that small amount of vibration, the teeny tiny screws that hold the mounting plates started to come loose. I'd already used the loctite on the screws that held the mount to the bar.

So ... add this to your cart along with the trust fire mount
https://www.amazon.com/Loctite-Heavy-Duty-Threadlocker-Single/dp/B000I1RSNS
As soon as you get them both, remove *every single screw* from the mount and apply loctite per the instructions, then reassemble.

It's still a great mount and you are way ahead of the game compared to the other incredibly expensive options.

Sturdy and light-weight

Affordable bike computer holder that looks cool, doesn't cost a lot, is lightweight and sturdy, and doesn't budge when properly mounted. What else is there to say?

Frequently asked questions

Is this a genuine product with a valid warranty?

Yes. We are an authorized dealer for Klarus and TrustFire, so every light we ship is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty, handled by us. Flashlights bought through unauthorized or grey-market sellers are usually not covered.

How fast do you ship, and what does it cost?

Orders placed on business days leave our Port Charlotte, Florida warehouse within 24 hours. Shipping is free on US orders over $49. We hold our own stock, so if the site shows it in stock, it is on a shelf here.

What is your return policy?

Returns are accepted within 30 days through a simple return process. See our refund policy for full details, or email us first if you are unsure whether a light is the right one and we will help you decide before you buy.

How many lumens do I actually need?

More than most people expect to hear: usually fewer than you think. 200 to 500 lumens covers everyday tasks, 500 to 1,500 covers work and duty use, and above that you are buying reach rather than usable working light. Runtime drops sharply at maximum output on every light ever made.

What is the difference between lumens and beam distance?

Lumens measure total light output. Candela measures beam intensity, and that is what determines how far a light throws. A tightly focused 1,000-lumen thrower will out-distance a 3,000-lumen floodlight, which is why reflector design matters as much as the headline number.

Which battery does it take, and do you sell spares?

Most of our lights use a built-in or removable lithium-ion cell such as a 14500, 16340, 18650, 21700 or 26650. The size is listed in the product specifications. We stock protected cells in all of those sizes plus a multi-chemistry charger, so you can keep a charged spare ready.

Can you help me choose between two models?

Yes, and we would rather do that than have you return something. Email Customersupport@brightlightled.shop or call 941-273-3209, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm EST, with the two models and how you plan to use the light.
