Duty & Professional Flashlights

Duty flashlights are built for people who use a light as a tool: police, security, EMS, contractors and anyone who needs full output the second the switch is pressed. These lights use rear tail switches for momentary-on, hold their output instead of stepping down after a minute, and are sealed and impact-rated for daily hard use. The collection spans handheld tactical lights, rail-mounted weapon lights and high-output headlamps so a single order can cover a full kit.

Building a duty lighting kit

  • Primary handheld. 1,000 to 2,300 lumens with a tail switch and a pocket clip, such as the Klarus XT11R or XT2CR PRO.
  • Backup light. A flat or keychain EDC light that lives in a different pocket to the primary.
  • Hands-free. A headlamp for vehicle work, searches and casualty care where both hands are committed.
  • Carry. A rapid-deploy holster keeps the light in a known position and orientation every time.

Duty flashlight questions

What is the difference between a duty light and a tactical light?

They overlap heavily. Duty lights prioritise sustained runtime, a comfortable interface and rechargeability for a full shift. Pure tactical lights prioritise instant maximum output and a simple, unmistakable switch.

Do these lights hold their brightness or step down?

All high-output LED lights manage heat, so turbo will step down. Duty-oriented models in this collection are built to settle at a high, stable output rather than dropping to a token level.

Are they rechargeable on shift?

Most are USB-C rechargeable, and several use magnetic charging so they can be topped up from a vehicle without unscrewing the body.
