Bright Light BW1 AA-Powered Flashlight

Built for Everyday Use and Emergency Preparedness

The BW1 is designed for camping trips, vehicle kits, home emergency supplies, and everyday household use. It runs on 4 standard AA batteries (not included) — no need to remember a charging cable or worry about a dead lithium pack when the storm hits.

1,000 Real Lumens with Five Practical Modes

  • High — full 1,000 lumens for outdoor use and emergencies
  • Medium — extended runtime for general tasks
  • Low — close-up work without blinding glare
  • Strobe — emergency signaling and self-defense
  • SOS — distress signal for outdoor emergencies

Adjustable Beam from Wide Flood to Focused Spot

Twist the head to zoom from a wide flood beam (great for lighting a campsite or reading a map) to a tightly focused spot beam that throws light at distance. One light, two beam profiles.

Aircraft-Grade Aluminum Construction

7.25 inches long with an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy body, anodized finish, and laser-engraved branding. Drop-tested for durability, with built-in heat protection and an IP65 water-resistance rating that handles heavy rain and snow.

Why AA Batteries Still Matter

Rechargeable lights are great until the power's out and the battery's dead. AA batteries are universally available — convenience stores, hardware stores, gas stations — and they store for years. The BW1 is the light you keep on hand specifically because it doesn't depend on grid power.

B Bright Light Black Widow reliable LED flashlight puts a lot of power in my hands!

I appreciate my new Bright Light Black Widow which right out of the box, has a good weighted feel to it and for my large hands, fits perfectly! Flashlight measures 8" long with approx.1.25" diameter. Aluminum body has a real QUALITY & STRENGTH to it.
Added the required 4 AA batteries ( batteries not included), and the first click of the LED flashlight shined a powerful beam of which easily shined past my backyard (100ft). I love its rugged weighted feel but knowing also its "drop and weather resistant", makes this Black Widow a must have for any situation.
Offering 10,000 hours of LED bulb life and 8 hours of battery life couple with five different light modes makes this a very sensible deal.
LIGHT MODES: Simply press the button on the flashlight handle to toggle between the five light modes: Low (100 lumens), Medium (250 lumens), High(400-800 lumens), Strobe and SOS mode.
BEST FEATURE: 1-Year no-hassle warranty! Great knowing that B BRIGHT LIGHT Black Widow stands behind their products. A very very HIGHLY RECOMMENDED flashlight! Thank you for reading and looking.

Good solid flashlight.

I do like the light but I honestly wish manufacturers would all just migrate to the 18650 cells they are so much cheaper and more efficient. The light is plenty bright, good on/ off button, built well but it is a little big compared to many lights that are brighter and last just as long due to the different cell type. And if your wondering if the battery pack is the type you can just swap out for the more efficient 18650's not going to happen they dont want you to be able to unfortunately. All in all it's a solid light if you have oodles of double AA batteries or rechargeables it's a good choice if not well you know what to do.

Well built for the cost

This flashlight is well built and preformed better than I thought it would. I would definitely recommend it especially for the cost of it.

The Best

I purchased three of these to replace our large mag lights, and I’m never going back! These are small, weigh far less, and last longer than our mag lights, and the lamp is adjustable. I’ve used it to change a neighbor’s tire in the dark, to light our whole living room in a power outage, during a night walk in the woods, and as the best headlight ever on my daughter’s bicycle. It fits easily in my glove box with all my other junk. It fits easily in my kitchen drawer, again with all my other junk, and I haven’t had to replace the batteries once even though we use them all the time. I highly recommend!

This is a nice sturdy flashlight.

This is a decent flashlight. It is sturdy and well made. It is not as bright as I thought it would be and I would like it better if there was a separate button for the flashing light and the strobe feature. To get to those features, you have to push the switch several times as the light turns off between each of the brightness levels and features and you have to go through each one to get to the level or feature you want. The pinpoint feature is nice and works easily and it comes with a convenient wrist strap. I am undecided whether or not I like the fact that it requires four AA batteries instead of being rechargeable. It is nice to be able to use the flashlight immediately after replacing the batteries instead of having to wait like you would if it was rechargeable. On the other hand, if you do not have extra batteries available when you need them, the flashlight is useless. So the fact that it uses batteries is both a pro and a con. Overall, I like the size and weight of this flashlight. It fits well in my hand and feels sturdy. It is a good size for keeping in the glove compartment or center console of your car. I am not as happy with the brightness level even at the brightest setting - especially if it is needed to light something at a distance. For lighting something up close, it works very well.

Decent flashlight

This is a pretty nice flashlight. The light is very bright and wide. I like the SOS feature. I’ll keep it in my car. It says it zooms but I can’t figure it out. I don’t like that it needs four batteries and it’s pretty heavy for the size. Not bad for the price. Recommend

Solid aluminum flashlight

It is very solidly built with an aluminum waterproof frame.

It takes four AA batteries so it does not run out of power fast - this is ideal for a flashlight that you have around for emergencies as opposed to flashlights that you have to charge since it is powered on regular batteries instead of USB chargers which are common now.

It has 5 different light modes (two solid and three strobe lights at different rates). The price is not very cheap but you get a very good flashlight.

Very Bright Light in a Compact Size

Excellent flashlight for the price. Compact in size but fairly heavy helping making it resistant to damage from dropping. Very bight light. Takes 4 AA batteries. It takes a little effort to install batteries but it is very easy after the first time and you learn how to install them.

Extremely Bright

This Black Widow LED flashlight is SO BRIGHT that I no longer have to let the dogs out at night to chase away the neighborhood cats fighting in our backyard, or, step out on the back porch myself to throw pebbles at the cats. I can literally just shine this flashlight THROUGH THE SECURITY SCREEN DOOR and the incredible brightness freaks the cats out and they run away. That’s a DIRT CHEAP investment for an unintended solution to a very annoying problem! GREAT FLASHLIGHT!

Tough and bright

Solid flashlight. Great battery life so far! Doesn't get as hot as I thought it would when compared to other super bright flashlights. I would recommend this flashlight for anyone needing extra light.

This is a quality flash light!

I *really* like this flash light - it is high quality, and may replace the old Mag Light in my car.
Pros:
+It's beefy yet portable (lanyard comfortable too)
+the focus/flood lens sliding is smooth - wide area light is big, spotlight has a nice reach
+the light is a pleasing color (daylight white, I believe)
+highest setting is *bright* and can be dimmed down to save battery life
+it's roll resistant (but will still roll)
+AA batteries are better at low temps than lithium ion, the battery holder is smooth - nicely designed
+glow in the dark ring around the lens may be useful in locating light in the dark
+multiple modes can be switched with half presses on the power button
Cons:
-I'm not a fan of the flashing modes that every flashlight seems to add - I'd rather see another level or two of dimming to prolong battery life if you don't need much light

Well built and very powerful flashlight

This is an excellent flashlight and worth the price. It is made out of heavy duty aluminum and is drop and weather resistant (please note that means it is water resistant not waterproof don’t drop it into the lake or the pond). When loaded with batteries it has a nice hefty feel and fits into my hand very well.
It requires 4 AA batteries to provide up to 8 hours of light. I really like this because so many things are USB charged which means hanging around while they get recharged. With this if you’re going to go hiking throw 4 extra batteries in the bottom of the backpack and you’re covered. Only takes a minute to change out the batteries. I assume they used AA instead of C size to obtain a longer light life the case size would hold C size. To load batteries you unscrew the back and pull out an inner sleeve that holds the 4 batteries in a lit room or during daylight no problem figuring out which is the positive vs negative poles in the dark changing batteries might be a bit of a problem. They simply don’t drop into the flashlight.
Has 5 different settings 3 shades of light and 2 strobes. The strobe lights should be visible for some distance on a dark night and relatively far way during daytime. Clever way to switch light function you simply partially press down the on/off switch on the back of the flashlight and each half press cycles to the next option. The beam really kicks it out at least 100+ feet on the highest intensity and narrow beam. The lowest intensity setting still provides plenty of light for most requirements. The beam can be adjusted from a wide angle to a narrow angle. I have seen this on other flashlights and you had to twist the head or front of the flashlight. This one you simply slide the front part forwards and backwards to adjust much easier to accomplish. The slide even works with the strobes and when it is narrowed down they become even more effective.
Very effective and highly recommended

It's Plenty Bright And Has A Nice Spread

The light has five settings. Brightest, Mid, Low, Flash, and Slow Blink. They're not labeled that way in the description but that's pretty much what they are. Unfortunately, if you were on, for example, mid, and thought you were on low, you'll find out when you cycle once, then you'll have to go around to get back to mid. If you pause between turning the flashlight off then on, it'll default to whatever your last setting was. I guess maybe if you always finish up on, say, Brightest, you'll always know where you are when you initially turn it on. It's plenty bright for most applications. The spread goes from fairly thin to VERY wide. The brightness really shows when the beam is spread; the beam doesn't die out just because it's covering a lot of area - that's really nice. It's also bigger than I thought, but that sure does make it easier to find. My wife is going to keep it her car's door pocket. It takes 4 AA batteries in two sets of two in tandem. All in all, I'm satisfied and after my initial gripes, I'd likely order another.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a genuine product with a valid warranty?

Yes. We are an authorized dealer for Klarus and TrustFire, so every light we ship is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty, handled by us. Flashlights bought through unauthorized or grey-market sellers are usually not covered.

How fast do you ship, and what does it cost?

Orders placed on business days leave our Port Charlotte, Florida warehouse within 24 hours. Shipping is free on US orders over $49. We hold our own stock, so if the site shows it in stock, it is on a shelf here.

What is your return policy?

Returns are accepted within 30 days through a simple return process. See our refund policy for full details, or email us first if you are unsure whether a light is the right one and we will help you decide before you buy.

How many lumens do I actually need?

More than most people expect to hear: usually fewer than you think. 200 to 500 lumens covers everyday tasks, 500 to 1,500 covers work and duty use, and above that you are buying reach rather than usable working light. Runtime drops sharply at maximum output on every light ever made.

What is the difference between lumens and beam distance?

Lumens measure total light output. Candela measures beam intensity, and that is what determines how far a light throws. A tightly focused 1,000-lumen thrower will out-distance a 3,000-lumen floodlight, which is why reflector design matters as much as the headline number.

Which battery does it take, and do you sell spares?

Most of our lights use a built-in or removable lithium-ion cell such as a 14500, 16340, 18650, 21700 or 26650. The size is listed in the product specifications. We stock protected cells in all of those sizes plus a multi-chemistry charger, so you can keep a charged spare ready.

Can you help me choose between two models?

Yes, and we would rather do that than have you return something. Email Customersupport@brightlightled.shop or call 941-273-3209, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm EST, with the two models and how you plan to use the light.
