Great flashlight when it works

I have been using this product for a few months now. I use it on a day-to-day basis as a ship's engineer. I can definitely say worth size and wait it is one of the brightest flashlights that I have used in the dimmable feature is very nice because the brightest setting is almost too bright. however there are definitely times when I need it. The exterior seems to be very rugged and has a comfortable tactical design. That being said the side button is not quite stiff enough there have been multiple times when I have bumped the side button in my pocket and the flashlight battery has drained because the light was on high. A side note to when the flashlight is on high: the head of the flashlight gets very hot.
The reason I gave this product 2 stars is because the electrical circuitry within the flashlight does not seem to be very good. The buttons functions will at times cause the light to act in ways that it is not supposed to. For example sometimes the strobe will come on for no reason at all or the actual strobe button won't work. Most annoying of all sometimes none of the buttons on the flashlight will work and then we'll start working again after clicking the rear button a few times. The only common denominator in each time that this is happened and it happens quite often is time. When the flashlight sets on used for an extended period time the problem I've explained will occur.
The problem is quite annoying and in my case not life-threatening but I'm sure in a tactical situation would be a major issue.

Great flashlight I now have two.

On January 31 2021 at 6:00 am I was plowing snow for the Township when I slid into the ditch. During the course of digging out and getting the truck pulled out I lost my Klarus XT11 GT flashlight. Well today March 23 the road commissioner just stopped by, he found it in the ditch and it works perfectly after being under about two feet of snow.

Worked great when I first got it......but.

First this flashlight worked great. After a few uses the flash function stopped working. Now none of the functions work. Basically I can use it to charge a battery for another flashlight.

Received two defective flashlights

I ordered two flashlights from here the first one I received the back button switch barely worked it was intermittent I ended up returning it for a refund week later I ordered another one and the same results and they both are defective. Somebody at Amazon needs to notify Klarus they have defective flashlights in their warehouse.

Quite a good flashlight, got one with a green beam

I own other Klarus flashlights, and they are amazingly good. The XT11GT received had a strong greenish tint to the beam which really detracted from the otherwise high-quality of the flashlight. The best way I can describe the beam was a bit dingy or dirty.

How many lumens do I actually need?

More than most people expect to hear: usually fewer than you think. 200 to 500 lumens covers everyday tasks, 500 to 1,500 covers work and duty use, and above that you are buying reach rather than usable working light. Runtime drops sharply at maximum output on every light ever made.

What is the difference between lumens and beam distance?

Lumens measure total light output. Candela measures beam intensity, and that is what determines how far a light throws. A tightly focused 1,000-lumen thrower will out-distance a 3,000-lumen floodlight, which is why reflector design matters as much as the headline number.

Which battery does it take, and do you sell spares?

Most of our lights use a built-in or removable lithium-ion cell such as a 14500, 16340, 18650, 21700 or 26650. The size is listed in the product specifications. We stock protected cells in all of those sizes plus a multi-chemistry charger, so you can keep a charged spare ready.
